Caserta   A Cocozelle type, but an earlier variety and more prolific.  widely grown and usually on the market all year. The squash is cylindrical but thicker at the apex..  The color is light glossy green with broken stripes of dark green and 6 to 7 inches long and by 1 to 1 1/4 inches thick.
