Savory Leaves

Growing on square, thickly branching stems that turn reddish and woody with age, savory leaves are small, narrow and dark green.

Savory is a very popular herb in Germany, where it is known as "bohnen-kraut" (bean herb). The flavor is a cross between thyme and mint with a touch of pepper.
