Beluga Sturgeon

Most frequently found in the Black or Caspian Sea this is largest of the sturgeon family and can grow to lengths of up to 13 feet and weigh as much as 3000 pounds.  This sturgeon has a gray-blue back, silver sides, and an almost white belly.  This sturgeon is prized for its caviar and can produce up to 350 pounds of eggs.

Born in fresh water it spends its adult life in saltwater.
