Bacon and Zutano are the two other principal varieties which with Fuerte make up the "fall and winter" crop. Rincon and MacArthur are combined with Hass to make up the .'spring and summer" supply. The season begins October 1 of each year. Fall and winter varieties are shipped during the first 6 months; spring and summer varieties during the second 6 month period.
