      Temple Orange  the original temple
came from a budded tree on the old homestead of William Chase Temple in
Winter Park, FL.  Its origin is unknown but similar fruit has been
reported as occurring in Jamaica.  It is believed to belong to the
group of hybrids known as tangors. The variety was purchased and
introduced by the Buckeye Nurseries of Tampa, FL. in 1917.
