GINGERBREAD
2   cups flour 
1   teaspoon baking soda
1   teaspoon cinnamon 
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup molasses
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup melted shortening
2 teaspoons ginger

Mix and sift the dry ingredients. Combine the milk, water, vinegar, and molasses. Stir into the dry ingredients, Add melted shortening and stir until smooth. Pour into 3, greased 9-inch layer-cake pan. Bake in a moderate oven (375°egrees F.) for 1/2 hour.
